The biggest problem in the US isn’t immigration, foreign countries, or anything else Trump has focused on. THE biggest problem is the spending/debt/money creation cycle, and Trump has made this problem worse in both his first and second term.
This cycle devalues the dollar, which is inflation–and inflation is effectively a massive tax increase every year, which disproportionately affects lower and middle class people.
Trump’s spending explosion has increased the pace of the cycle requiring more debt (including record interest payments on the debt) and more money creation than ever.
Throw in Fed manipulation of interest rates and this massive use of central planning warps and twists the economy. And both Rs and Ds fully support this central planning. Shy of just a few elected officials, the spending/debt/money cycle isn’t even discussed. These politicians are not even discussing (let alone trying to fix) the biggest problem in the country.
You cant discuss affordability, cost of living, job creation, economic growth, housing, etc and avoid this cycle. It affects absolutely everything.
