Apart from the general disgrace that the Trump family continues to monetize the presidency, a particularly hypocritical part of Trump Mobile phones is that–they arent American made. As most manufacturers know, parts and materials come from all over the world to create most complex pieces of machinery. To pretend this isn’t the case is ridiculous.
The Trump Mobile people have backed away from their initial “Made in America” promise, and some experts believe they are lying about even assembly in the US as the phone is eerily close to an old Chinese-made phone. You cant make this stuff up. 🤦♂️
Details from Tech Radar:
“Trump Mobile originally claimed that the T1 Phone would be built in the US, though references to this assertion were removed from official branding some time after the device was first revealed in 2025.
Now, the Trump Mobile website describes the phone as being “shaped by American innovation” with “American teams helping guide design and quality.”
The phone is “powered by the rather dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 SoC, and runs on Android 15. Ouch.
These specs have led to speculation that the T1 Phone is simply a rebranded Wingtech Revvl 7 Pro 5G, which has a very similar spec sheet. The Wingtech Revvl 7 Pro 5G originally launched in 2024 and is manufactured in China. It’s already available in the US through T-Mobile.”
