In the Nov 2025 meeting between Trump and Mamdani, Trump had some wonderful quotes for Mamdani and Bernie Sanders:
Talking about Mamdani, Trump said:
“We agree on a lot more than I would have thought.”
“I expect to be helping him, not hurting him.”
Asked if Trump would be comfortable living in the city under Mamdani, “I really would, especially after the meeting.”
Trump also said he thinks Mamdani will do a “great job.”
And addressing his previous comments on socialism, Trump said: “Bernie Sanders and I agreed on much more than people thought.”
